The use of NEC3 in Ireland on building and civil engineering contracts is steadily increasing. It is essential that those administering or managing an NEC3 ECC is fully aware of the mechanisms of the Early Warning and Compensation Event system.
This seminar will look at the NEC3 (ECC) Compensation Event system including:
• Understanding when to early warn;
• The time frames for notifying and what both Contractor and PM responsibilities are; and
• How the operation of the programme, payment and change management provisions work.
In addition this seminar will assist with the concept and practice of the NEC in theory and reality. This will include:
• The advantages;
• The pitfalls; and
• The surprises.
